I VOTE KING JESUS!

As I begin this post, I want to make my intention clear from the start: this isn’t about swaying your vote toward any political party—Republican or Democrat. My hope is simply to encourage you to consider Christ—His Way, His Truth, and His Word. I’m not here to judge or criticize anyone’s choice. I, too, have a perspective that feels right to me, but above all, I urge you, regardless of your decision, to take a moment to pray—not just from a place of personal conviction or political leaning, but with a heart open to God’s will. Remember your citizenship in God’s Kingdom. Trust in Him and believe that He is sovereign. Jesus is Lord, and there is no kingdom greater than His.

Roman 13: 1-7

“1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.”

Hard Truth

There is no governing authority in this world that hasn’t been appointed by our Lord. Regardless of whether a leader is just or unjust, they have been placed in their position by Yahweh. This is a challenging passage for many to comprehend and accept. I’m not suggesting that God endorses every action or word of a president, but He can use both righteous and unrighteous individuals for His purposes. His wisdom is beyond our understanding, and we are called not only to obey those in authority but also to pray for them. We pray that they turn away from sin and evil, and instead submit to God and follow His guidance. No matter who becomes president, we must adhere to the Word of God and place our trust in our Lord Jesus Christ!

Romans 13: 8-10

“8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”

Love Your Neighbor

As we seek to discern what aligns with Godly values and what does not, let’s remember to love our neighbors. We often respond sharply—myself included—especially when we feel called to defend our faith. It’s easy to criticize or shame others for supporting candidates whose policies or character might not reflect our Lord’s example. Personally, I choose not to vote for anyone I perceive as unaligned with Christ’s teachings, and I avoid affiliations that don’t resonate with my faith. However, that doesn’t mean I need to hurt others over their choices.

Our goal should be to teach, to listen, and to offer guidance. And while we may disagree as believers on whom to support, we can still unite in declaring that Jesus is Lord of all. If we can’t agree on that foundational truth, we won’t be able to walk in unity. Above all, let’s remember to put on Christ, not self-righteousness.

Romans 13:11-14

“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”

Romans 1:18-23

“18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”

Humanistic Views and Values

I find it’s so easy to justify things that seem good because they are pleasing to people and their way of life. We accept a world that is pluralistic and are governed by what feels right in a man’s (or woman’s) heart, making that into what is right by God. We hold onto the wisdom of man and try to reconcile that with the Word of God. A little evil seems acceptable as long as most of someone’s views are morally correct. They may promote ungodly things, but they care for the poor and the immigrants.

For many, the primary concern is money and how the candidate running will affect the economy, their job, or their business. People may feel they can serve both God and love money just as much as God, if not more. Which candidate affects their bottom line the most will receive their vote.

Women’s rights are also at stake in this election, and for some, that is the main issue. They care less about the right to procreate or the value of the family and more about a woman’s right to choose what’s best for her body. Others may be against abortion but believe it’s acceptable in cases of rape.

Some people feel obligated to vote based on their political affiliation. Regardless of who the candidate is, they will support them. Some might work in the political field and feel compelled to vote according to their party affiliation.

Others, wanting to protect America from evil, feel strongly about voting to restore moral values, based on the perception of morality that one party claims to uphold. For balance’s sake, they may believe that because of these issues, God would appoint a Republican to office. But perhaps, the increase in perversion by the Democrats might need to continue in this nation to set a distinction between those who are truly His and those who are not.

From a humanistic perspective, these things may not seem bad in themselves (though some most certainly are against God’s Word) and should be considered. But don’t believe for one second that you are not in a spiritual battle beyond flesh and blood. Through these issues, we risk changing the glory of the incorruptible God into an image resembling corruptible man.

Is voting Republican or Democrat wrong in itself? I would say no. I’ve seen Christians praying and fighting for change in this nation. I’ve joined them in the fight to get resources for the homeless, and I’ve stood with others to prevent Planned Parenthood centers from being built. I understand their fight and wouldn’t dare diminish their efforts, for their work is not in vain. According to their prayers and efforts, God may see fit to install the right leader according to His will. But even if this doesn’t happen, God’s Kingdom reigns above all.

Haggai 2:6-9

“For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. 8 ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. 9 ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

John 18:36

“Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

John 2:13-22

“13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” 17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.” 18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?” 19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” 21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 22 Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.”

Kingdom Citizenship

The Kingdom of God is not of this world, nor is our citizenship. Please listen to me. Certain things must happen on the earth. If that was not so the Word of God would not have said so. Set your mind on things which are above and not beneath.

Colossians 3:1-4

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”

I’m not saying you shouldn’t care about who is the president, or fight for things in the political area for God can call you to such places in seasons, but to walk with God is to consider Him and all His Ways. What is most important to you? Please don’t revoke my citizenship because I was lost in the political winds hoping that a Republican president could save me from my present situation. I know you Lord are a present help. Some would say You’re too heavenly-minded for any earthly good. I would say the only one who is Good is Yahweh. I trust Him with my whole Heart. I see the wickedness of this nation and a great falling away from the faith. No political party can fix that. The only reason this nation still stands is because the tares must grow with the wheat according to God’s great mercy. Don’t be deceived but hear what the Lord is saying. Above all you Have a King and that King is King Jesus if you only Trust Him there is no season, no oppression or suffering you can’t ensure. Jesus His Overcome the World. The Lord has raised voices in the wilderness if you would only incline your ear. Please listen. Many amongst us profess the power of God, but they deny the power thereof. They point their fingers and say if you don’t vote this way or that way it’s not possible to be a Christian. They confess that God Has all Power but can’t rest in His Judgements.

I VOTE KING JESUS

So here is where I stand in the matter. I won’t vote for any candidate in this upcoming election. I’m not saying this to persuade you not to vote. I don’t agree with both candidates, for their views and character. I’m not saying this because I believe I’m correct in this matter, please vote according to what you value the most. I’m here to let you know Jesus is Lord, He still Sits on the Throne. Make Him the Lord of your Life Today! I’m here to say Trust God, pray for those who are in authority, and keep fighting the good fight of faith.

2 Corinthians 5:20-21

“20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
